Arsene Wenger Would Never Have Me Back, Claims Former Arsenal Striker

Former Arsenal forward Ian Wright says that he would be ready to return to his former club in any capacity in order to help the club.

The gunners have been going through a disastrous period, which only worsened after the 3-0 loss against Crystal Palace in the previous match. The club are now left with a serious danger of missing out on Champions League football for next season. There are also huge concerns surrounding the future of manager Arsene Wenger, who has been asked to step down repeatedly by a large section of fans. The calls for Wenger to leave the club have been growing in the last few months.

Despite having scored a reasonable 61 goals in 30 league matches this season, Arsenal have been looking disjointed in several matches of late. They club were recently knocked out of the Champions League and they have managed just one win in the last five league matches.

As a result, Arsenal are already seven points behind Manchester City in the top four place, although they have a game in hand. Arsenal have had the proud record of qualifying for the Champions League in each of the last 20 campaigns since Arsene Wenger has been at the club. Wright says that he would not be taken back by Arsenal, as Wenger does not believe in his services.

“If Arsenal asked me to go there in any capacity, to do ANYTHING, I would go there. At the end of the day, he’s got people around him that he loves.Gilles Grimandi, people like Robert Pires. Those people aren’t going to front him up.Martin Keown is the only one that’s fronted him in the last couple of years and he got him out.Told Martin to shut up, that he talks too much. No-one around Arsene Wenger can front him up and say ‘you’re wrong,’” said Wright.
