ARSENAL TO SEE OFF FRANKFURT AT COMMERZBANK

Premier League side Arsenal are expected to see off Eintracht Frankfurt as both sides clash in Group F Europa League fixture. While he rivals are the favourites on paper to come out unscathed from the group, the Thursday game could determine who would come out tops.

Frankfurt are not at their best at the moment in the German top flight, especially with keyman losses at the summer transfer window. Luka Jovic moved to Spain to join Real Madrid, Sebastian Haller moved to England to prove himself while Ante Rebic moved to the Serie A.

While the hosts have decent firepower in Andre Silva and Bas Bost, they are not quite the attacking side that reached semifinals of the Europa League last term. They still have an impressive record at home, having lost just one game of the last ten in regular time. Arsenal are expected to break this record when they meet on Thursday.

While the Gunners have been inconsistent in games played so far, they remain the likely side to get victory. Arsenal are known to have a fine run in Europe before poorly crashing out in advanced stages. They only lost to Chelsea 4-1 few months back in the Europa League final. In the Premier League, it has been up and down but Pierre-EmerickAubameyang is expected to lead the side to victory.

The Bookies favour an Arsenal win by a slight margin. However, Frankfurt are also expected to score especially with the poor defense of Arsenal. Rob Holding is expected to make his return to the setup against the German side, boosting the defensive options. The 23-year old has been out for the entire year due to an ACL. Rob is expected to pair David Luiz in centredefence.

SokratisPapastathopoulos and Luiz were to be blamed for the 2-2 result against Watford on Sunday, despite the fact that a positive result would have sent them to the Top Four. Their errors were criticized by the fansincluding club legend Ian Wright, who seemed not surprised but yet very disappointed. It is unlikely Emery will look the way of ShkodranMustafi, who is still expected to exit in January.
