Mohamed Salah has been a surprising hit at Inter Milan after struggling to make an impact at Chelsea.
After spending a short time on loan at Fiorentina, the Egyptian winger decided to move to Roma on a permanent basis. The 23-year-old has made a major impact in the Italian Serie A this season by scoring six goals in 18 appearances. This may come as a major surprise to many given that he struggled even for some first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge. Roma maybe fifth in the table during the winter break, but they are only four points off the top.
Hence, the title remains a realistic challenge for Roma. This would mean bad news for Inter Milan, who lead the table after a long time. Roberto Mancini’s team have gone into the winter break as the champions. They are currently in the Middle East for a small training camp. Mancini will want to preserve the number one position at all costs. There is threat from Roma, Napoli, and Fiorentina. The biggest of them all will come from Juventus, who are on an incredible winning spree. After struggling with the prospect of relegation early on in the campaign, Juventus are now only three points behind the table leaders.
“Salah is a very good player with fantastic ability, and Inoticed that he has also increased the popularity of the Italian sides among the Arab countries.Players like Salah are important for the Italian teams in Arab countries, because the fans there admire football. Salah is a great player, but currently he is not on our radar,” said Mancini. The Italian will admitted that he would like some Inter Milan players to be on unbeatable form. Inter have performed exceptionally well as a team and they will be looking to continue the same when the season resumes.
