Ian Wright revealed that Fernandes has sent a message out to the rest of the teams in the Premier League. The ex-Arsenal striker then predicted that the trio of Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood and Paul Pogba will wreck havoc on Premier League teams this season. All the three players made their mark as Manchester United thumped Leeds United 5-1 at home.

There were doubts over Fernandes and his form ahead of the just started Premier League season due to the poor form shown at the European Championship in the colours of Portugal. He was poor at the tournament going by his usual high standard. Fernandes was able to remove those doubts with his first Premier League hattrick at the expense of the Whites.

Fernandes was the recipient of the only goal scored in first half. His goal was cancelled out by Leeds United defender Luke Ayling before Mason Greenwood restored the lead with a fine finish almost immediately.

Portuguese international Fernandes then added two goals to complete his first league treble in the Premier League. Brazilian international midfielder Fred wrapped up the heavy win for the Red Devils.

The result recorded at home to the Whites was enough to send Manchester United to the top of the table at the end of week one.

Fernandes would be hoping to continue where he left off when Manchester United travel to the St. Mary’s Stadium to take on Southampton who lost their first game 3-1 at Everton.

Frenchman Paul Pogba also played a big role in the win over Leeds United with four assists and he would be looking for more of that performance in the coming weeks and months starting with the Southampton game.
