Arsenal legend Ian Wright has given his verdict on Spanish international Dani Ceballos and his future at the Emirates Stadium. Ian Wright talked about Ceballos and other Arsenal players while he was on Premier League TV recently. According to him, the Gunners should not retain the services of the Real Madrid loanee.
Ceballos initially joined Arsenal on a season-long loan deal at the start of last season before it was renewed for another season at the start of the current campaign. The Spaniard impressed while he was on loan at the club last season and he played a big part in the FA Cup win. He was one of the best players in the Arsenal squad that saw off Chelsea in the final to win the competition last season.
Arsenal came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 in last season’s final thanks to the brace from club captain Pierre-EmerickAubameyang. Ceballos partnered Granit Xhaka in the Gunners midfield for the final played at the iconic Wembley Stadium.
Apart from Ceballos, Ian Wright also talked about fellow midfielders Matteo Guendouzi and Joe Willock. According to him, the two players don’t have a future at the club as things stand despite impressing while on loan.
Willock is on loan at fellow Premier League outfit Newcastle United and has impressed while playing for the Northeast club. He has scored in each of his last five appearances in the league thereby taking his tally to six goals for the Magpies. He joined Newcastle United on loan during the January transfer window.
On his part, Guendouzi is on loan at German Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin. The Fremchman has also impressed at the club.
