Former Arsenal and West Ham player, Ian Wright, has hailed Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo and Tottenham Hotspurs squad for their impressive and consistent chase for the English Premier League title.
The legend revealed his excitement over the development of the youngster after his starring role in the 2-1 victory at Bournemouth. Sheyi Ojo had his second straight Premier League appearance in the game. Ojo had a hand in Brazilian Roberto Firmino’s opening goal, as he partnered well with Daniel Sturridge. The victory over Eddie Howe’s side is a big win for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Ojo now has six appearances in total for The Reds since his first-team debut in January in the FA Cup tie at Exeter. The young talent who is only 18 years old drew interest from Ian Wright in the 2-2 draw Liverpool played at St James Park.
“I remember we [BBC Sport] did the FA Cup game when Liverpool played Exeter on this quagmire of a pitch and seeing Ojo with his beautiful left foot.
“He’s got this calm demeanour about him.
“I am so excited about him and want to see what he’s like in bigger games, more intensified,” the former English international said.
The youngster spent the first half of the season on loan at Wolves and he scored three goals. He returned in January, impressed at the FA Cup and Klopp has rewarded him with Premier League outings against West Ham, Southampton, Stoke and recently, Bournemouth.
Ian Wright also commended Spurs for their 4-0 round up of Stoke City to remain in the title race for the EPL.
Via popular social media outlet, Twitter, Ian said: “My god Tottenham are frightening!!!”
Spurs would easily make the best away performances list this season with the impressive victory over Stoke.
